ZEISS A Series 2.0 BlueGuard is a built-in lens material that blocks up to 40% of potentially harmful blue light (400–455 nm) and provides full UV protection. Unlike older blue light coatings that reflect an annoying purple glare, BlueGuard is embedded directly into the lens, reducing reflections and improving clarity.

How It Works?

Material vs. Coating: Older blue-blocking options (like DuraVision BlueProtect) use a reflective coating that causes purple-blue glares on the front of the lens. BlueGuard builds this protection right into the plastic, making it look clearer and reducing glare by up to 50%.

Selective Filtering: It blocks artificial blue light from screens that can mess with your sleep, while still letting in the natural blue light your body needs.
